Once a month, she has to eat a human brain – both to keep from going all “Night of the Living Dead,” and to keep her own memories intact. As a result, Gwen’s mind is crowded with the dead person’s thoughts. And lately, she feels compelled to fulfill their final requests. Torn between a mysterious mummy and a dashing young monster-hunter, Gwen is set for adventures beyond imagination! A were-terrier, a swinging ’60s ghost and a pack of paintball blasting vampires complete the cast of I, ZOMBIE.

Buffy assemble !?!??!?!?

Deadline New York's Mike Fleming was reporting today that Joss Whedon is in final negotiations to direct THE AVENGERS.
it has since popped up in a few reliable sources.
on paper it reads two ways.
1. A dream come true. Comic book fan handling what could be the greatest comic movie of all time .
created buffy
launched astonishing X-men
doll house
fire fly
his writing is perfect for a group dynamic. witty fast paced with a unique ability to juggle multiple personalities and exploit the innate humor in in cultural differences (whether it be lesbians and strait folks or cowboys and aliens )
2. he has not really proven to be a "mighty" director
I loved serenity but it sorta just looked like a tv show on the big screen I can't think of a single buffy episode he directed and thats probably a bad thing ( though i'll admit I have not seen every episode of the program so perhaps he has lensed one that will floor me upon first viewing)
so In closing excited if he writes it worried if he directs it .
anxious to see what happens
bring back the zombie
WWE sent out the following press release today…
SMACKDOWN GOES SYFY
World Wrestling Entertainment(R) and Syfy announced today a multi-year agreement that brings Friday Night SmackDown(R) to the "Imagine Greater" network beginning in October 2010. Friday Night SmackDown will premiere on its new home October 1st at 8:00 PM ET. The program, which debuted more than 10 years ago, is one of the longest-running, weekly episodic shows on television.
Syfy's original Friday night drama series will move to Tuesday night, where hit series such as Warehouse 13 and Eureka have yielded unprecedented ratings success. WWE NXT(TM) will leave Syfy in October as Friday Night SmackDown joins the schedule.
"WWE(R) is the ultimate in imagination-based sports entertainment. The fantastical thrills of Friday Night SmackDown provide an ideal addition to the Syfy slate, as it targets the younger male and female demographics, which are the fastest growing categories for WWE," said Dave Howe, President, Syfy. "With Tuesday night, a proven winner for our original drama series including Warehouse 13, there is bigger opportunity for series such as Stargate Universe, Sanctuary and Caprica to thrive on a night with a significantly larger number of viewers available to watch live."
"Syfy is a terrific partner and we look forward to bringing our proven ratings winner and ten year television institution, Friday Night SmackDown, to the network," said WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon. "With this move, WWE is thrilled to be expanding its long-standing relationship with the NBC Universal family."
Friday Night SmackDown averages more than 3.4 million viewers a week and is currently the most watched TV program on Friday nights among Males under 55 and beats all Friday primetime programming on ABC, NBC, FOX and CW among Men 18-34*. The two hour television program will be presented weekly on Syfy and features a star-studded cast of WWE Superstars and Divas including Undertaker(R), Edge(R), Rey Mysterio(R), Chris Jericho(R), CM Punk(R), Michelle McCool(R), Beth Phoenix(TM) and Layla(TM).

The Tenement

The Tenement (2003 BRAIN DAMAGE FILMS)
A paranoid nerd who thinks he's becoming a werewolf, a beautiful serial killer who preys on serial killers and the nefarious Black Rose Killer are just some of the inhabitants of The Tenement, the new anthology by promising newcomer Glen Baisley. The Tenement has all the dark wit and twisted morality of classic EC comics with all the self awareness and continuity of Stephen King's interwoven short stories.
The best of the bunch is the story of a young mute girl named Sarah who is terrorized by an obsessive stalker but the tables are quickly turned as the predator realizes his prey may not be as alone as he thinks. As he does throughout the film, Mr. Baisley uses the “cat and mouse” struggle, like the one between Sarah and her attacker, to travel across a lot of film history. What starts in the territory of 70's exploitation fare (see "Last House on the Left" or "I Spit on Your Grave") quickly steers into dark realms first traveled by Fulci and Argento.
Let me take a second to talk to any one out there who's over 30, has loved this stuff since they could walk and hate the state of horror right now....
Ok Reagan/Bush era young couch potatoes: are you listening?
The Tenement is a good old fashioned, late night, make out with your girl, drink beer with your buddies, turn it into a drinking game, found it on the bottom of the shelf in the horror section of an old mom and pop video store, would see it at a drive in if they existed, pre Blockbuster, old-school, anything goes film making, titties bouncing, gory good time.
Roughly translated: The Tenement is a horror film by a horror fan, for horror fans.
Only time will tell if Mr. Baisley will make the jump to the big screen or if he will stay a small screen hero in the punk rock like environment of digital video “do it your self revolution.”
Either way there’s no doubt that he has a very bright future, making very dark movies.
this is a real bad idea
they are gogin to remake The Toxic Avenger
the goal is to "turn Toxie into a green superhero for these environmentally conscious times."
thats really all I have to say
