The best wrestling company in the world is about to star in it's own video game
It was announced this weekend at CHIKARA'S huge King of trios event (which was awesome by the way look for my review later this week) that a game is on the way.
The announcement came in the from of an amazing trailer chronicling the exploits of the devious ultramantis black who has Resurrected long dead luchadores from the promotions past to aid him in his quest to wipe out the even more evil BDK.
"Rudo Resurrection" is coming soon to multiple game platforms check out the trailer above and go to the official web sight for more info as it hits.
I can't spill alot more, but what I can tell you is the trailer is amazing and the team working on the game is capable of a ground breaking game experience (or at very least a hella fun one)
sharp eyes will pick out the trailer is built around the art of the brillant Derek Ring.
and those with an ear for evil will pick out the driving sounds of former Deadites synth slinger Tiny wight.

The Tenement
The Tenement (2003 BRAIN DAMAGE FILMS)
A paranoid nerd who thinks he's becoming a werewolf, a beautiful serial killer who preys on serial killers and the nefarious Black Rose Killer are just some of the inhabitants of The Tenement, the new anthology by promising newcomer Glen Baisley. The Tenement has all the dark wit and twisted morality of classic EC comics with all the self awareness and continuity of Stephen King's interwoven short stories.
The best of the bunch is the story of a young mute girl named Sarah who is terrorized by an obsessive stalker but the tables are quickly turned as the predator realizes his prey may not be as alone as he thinks. As he does throughout the film, Mr. Baisley uses the “cat and mouse” struggle, like the one between Sarah and her attacker, to travel across a lot of film history. What starts in the territory of 70's exploitation fare (see "Last House on the Left" or "I Spit on Your Grave") quickly steers into dark realms first traveled by Fulci and Argento.
Let me take a second to talk to any one out there who's over 30, has loved this stuff since they could walk and hate the state of horror right now....

The Tenement is a good old fashioned, late night, make out with your girl, drink beer with your buddies, turn it into a drinking game, found it on the bottom of the shelf in the horror section of an old mom and pop video store, would see it at a drive in if they existed, pre Blockbuster, old-school, anything goes film making, titties bouncing, gory good time.
Roughly translated: The Tenement is a horror film by a horror fan, for horror fans.
Only time will tell if Mr. Baisley will make the jump to the big screen or if he will stay a small screen hero in the punk rock like environment of digital video “do it your self revolution.”
Either way there’s no doubt that he has a very bright future, making very dark movies.

Walking dead vs “Love Actually”.
Newsarama is reporting that according to AOL Television’s Inside British actor Andrew Lincoln, (best known in the US OF A as Mark in “Love Actually”.) has been selected to portray Rick Grimes. in AMC's the upcoming “The Walking Dead” pilot.

12 August 2009 (Berkeley, CA) – As announced in Variety and Hollywood Reporter, AMC has signed on to bring THE WALKING DEAD to television screens. Image Comics’ epic tale of human survival in the face of a zombie apocalypse by writer Robert Kirkman and illustrator Charlie Adlard is being adapted as an ongoing television series by Shawshank Redemption and Stephen King’s The Mist director Frank Darabont.
“I’m a huge fan of Frank Darabont’s body of work and AMC has impressed me to no end with Breaking Bad and Mad Men,” Kirkman said. “I couldn’t be happier with THE WALKING DEAD ending up here.”
THE WALKING DEAD deal will bring Darabont in not only as Executive Producer, but also as writer and director on the adaptation. Terminator producer Gale Anne Hurd of Valhalla Motion Pictures and David Alpert from Circle of Confusion will also produce. While further information is under wraps, the plan is to keep the show extremely faithful to the Kirkman and Adlard’s comic book series.

Rogue has Teeth
Rogue (2007)
Greg McLean’s first flick was Wolf Creek and though I didn’t care for that cliché ridden piece of garbage, something about him tackling Nature Amuck had me intrigued.
Rogue is the story of a group of tourists shipwrecked by a giant cranky salt water crocodile who wants nothing more than to feast on the Australian branch of central casting’s disposable characters (the A.B.C.C.D.C). We’ve seen this setup a billion times before but McLean pulls out the stops and delivers what may be the best animal amuck film since Jaws.
Mr. Aussie Horror uses quirky pacing to fuck with our expectations to give us some legitimate popcorn in the air, jump out of your seat moments. This flick is by no stretch of the imagination gore free either (plenty of chopping and rendering) and the crocodile itself is one of the most convincing pieces of CG I can remember. So even though I am in the minority, and could care less for my visit to scenic Wolf Creek, Greg’s second stop on the Australian terror tour has me anxious to travel Down Under next time around.

Sebastian Stan is Bucky Barnes !!!! who the hell is sebastian Stan
Over at newsarama they are reporting that sabastain saw has lead the roll of Captain Americas sid kick
for those of you who don't know bucky Barns was captain Americas lil brother In arms during WW2 (think robin with A bit more fashion sense). the heroically named "Bucky" was created by Joe Simon and Jack "the king" Kirby in 1941 he was killed trying to to defuse the bomb the evil Baron zemo had lunched at the good guys, this was the same blast sent cap flying into the freezing waters of the North Atlantic.
as you know the magic waters of the North Atlantic are so cold that if you get tossed in you will flash freeze and be preserved in suspended animation (like ice tupperware ware) . the capsical floated around for till the Avengers found him decades later in a block of ice.
Ms barns favorite son was not so lucky and was just plain ol blownuped.
Bucky's death had been notable as one of the few comic book deaths that the dead folk in question stayed dead,
that was until recently when he was brought back In a story that climaxed with CAPTAIN AMRICA dying !!!!!! now why the writers thought we were going to be worried about Caps demise when they didn't even have the gumption to keep his kid side kick dead is beyond me .
but they brought him back and made him the new cap. but now the real cap is back and awwwww who cares really. not me. not even a little.. ok I care a little I still by the Book but l.....well lets get back to the kid i have no idea who he is
I have no clue what any of that is but I'm sure it's all very good
so guess Stan has signed on for five films, this could mean a couple of things
this could mean the cap films will all take place in WW2. or it could be that we will see stan take a shot at buckys Winter Solider persona
this will give stan the opportunity to really show his chops and a great deal of range. A crazy Russian General Vasily Karpov found Bucky in the Magic suspended animation ocean and rebuilt him into a cold war 16 million dollar man.
it is a huge leap from bright eyed gee whizz side kick to cold blooded terminator like hit man it's the type of character arc careers are built on. it may also just be a case of him appearing in flash back sequences.
at any rate Im getting pretty excited for this flick. one would think we could hear who the bad guy is and what bad guy he will be playing (let's go red skull clap clap clap let's go red skull clap clap clap let's go red skull clap clap clap ) any day now

as all these super hero casting revelations come down the pike It has become very apparent that i don't watch enough teen drama because i don't know who any of these fucking people are. i was equally baffled when the excitement rose over WATCHMEN casting I heard that at the comiccon announcement folks went ape shit but I had no clue who any one other then the bad kid in the 'bad news bears" was
perhaps I read too many comics and don't watch enough movies and TV.
or I may just not give a fuck.
But i fell i have an advantage . because for me Thor will be Thor and not the guy from X thing or Y thing and thats the way i'd really like it to be at the end of the day
